Our Policies

Our cancellation policy is as follows:
Life happens, and we get it. If you need to cancel your reservation, we kindly ask that you forward your request in writing by email to seawindscottages@gmail.com

• Cancellations received 30 days prior to the arrival date will receive a full deposit refund, minus a $50.00 administration fee.
• Cancellations received 15-30 days prior to your arrival date will result in the full deposit being non-refundable.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance will be charged the full amount of the reservation.
• If you decide to shorten your stay while staying with us, no refunds will be offered.
• Note if you do have to cancel we will make every effort to rent the cottage to fill your booking. If we’re able to successfully fill the cancellation we will refund in full.
• We recommend that you safeguard yourself against unforeseen circumstances by purchasing vacation rental insurance.

CBMF Policies and Procedures

• Are separate from Seawinds Cottages. When booking, you will be required to fill out paperwork acknowledging and accepting these policies and procedures. 
• All Deposits for guaranteeing the bookings over the CBMF weekend are Non- Refundable.
• Should a guest cancel a confirmed reservation, they cannot reassign their cottage to another party. 
• Only guests registered on the property during the festival weekend will be permitted access to the property. During the festival, extra visitors are not permitted.  At Seawinds, we sincerely pride ourselves on guaranteeing our customers a superior vacation experience. This policy is applied to guarantee this experience for all our guests.

EXCESSIVE MESS POLICY:

For your arrival, our staff work hard to maintain a pristine presentation of our cottages & grounds. Please note we have implemented a new excessive mess policy for both the cottages’ interior and exterior. Upon checkout inspection if we deem an excessive mess has applied, we will charge between $100.00 and $500.00 against your credit card account. Thank you for your understanding and assistance to keep our property and units presentable.

 OCCUPANCY POLICY:

Seawinds Cottages has a maximum per unit policy. All units are priced for up to 4 people.  There is a charge of $30.00 per person per night over the allotted advertised pricing. Maximum allowable occupancy is 6 people. 

Seawinds Cottages has a no tent or trailer onsite policy. Should extra people arrive beyond the maximum allowable occupancy, we reserve the right to ask you to vacate the premises. 

MINIMUM NIGHT STAY  POLICY:

Seawinds Cottages carries a minimum stay of 5 nights policy during July and August. On occasion, shorter term stays may become available between our 1 and 2 week stays, so please call to inquire.   

PET POLICY:

We are sorry, but pets are not permitted. Please let us know during your reservation process if you are bringing a service animal.  Service Animals: if a service animal is required to aid you during your stay, please make sure to have all certificates, licenses, registration, etc. made available to reservation staff to confirm legal requirements.

SMOKING POLICY:

There is absolutely no smoking permitted within the cottages. Important to note that there will be an additional $200 + HST cleaning/repainting fee applied to the credit card on file should evidence of smoking inside the cottage be found. Evidence includes but is not limited to: Smell of smoke/substance, loose butts, ashes, etc.

ADDITIONAL POLICIES:

Outdoor cookers, large pots and lobster utensils are available with advance reservation. Please note if you will require additional propane tanks (each cottage will get one propane tank per 7-night stay. If you require a second propane tank during your 7 nights’ stay a charge of $20.00 +HST will be applied to the credit card on file.
